What is Reiki?
Reiki, a Japanese word pronounced ray-key, can be translated as ‘universal life energy'. This is the same as the Chinese ‘chi' or Indian ‘prana'. Reiki is a system of healing energy which activates the body's natural ability to heal itself. It is a safe, natural and holistic way of treating many acute and chronic conditions and bringing about well being.
Practiced throughout the world since its rediscovery in the 19 th Century by Dr Mikao Usui of Japan , Reiki heals on all levels; physically, mentally and spiritually. Although not a substitute for orthodox medicine, it is a non-confrontational way of soothing away a variety of different traumas and troubles in a gentle way.
Reiki is also non-denominational, so you don't need to follow a particular belief system to enjoy its benefits.

What happens during a Reiki treatment?
Reiki is a simple system of healing that is carried out by placing hands on or over a (fully clothed) person. Treatments last for 1 hour and can produce a variety of results: it is very individual; some people feel relaxed, or you may feel the characteristic Reiki “heat”, or tingling sensations on or around the body. You may want to ask questions, talk, laugh, cry or giggle – everyone has a different reaction to Reiki.

The clinic requires 48 hours notice to reschedule an appointment .Should you not give this notice or fail to show for the appointment you will lose your payment. If you are late for an appointment you will only receive the allocated time left for the appointment you will not be entitled to the full treatment time.
